Tip: Preview Plaintext Emails in Mail.app
Here’s a quick tip. If your team sends out HTML emails, you probably know that it’s important to include an plain text version of the email as well for email clients and phones that don’t support HTML. But when testing emails before they go out, how do you preview the plaintext version of the email?
It’s easy on a Mac using Mail.app. Just hit ⌘-Option-[ and ⌘-Option-] to...

Frank Chimero: There is a Horse in the Apple Store →
I’ve been accused of finding humor in places that others don’t. Laughing at things that don’t immediately seem laughable. In light of that, I LOVed this short essay. It has a sort of John Hodgman on This American Life quality. Definitely worth a read.
There is a horse in the Apple Store and no one sees it but me. I think, “Why?” What is the villain here that blinds all of...

What was your best startup moment thus far?
The night we launched. Definitely. I couldn’t go to sleep and it was my birthday the next day. I woke up in the middle of the night to check to see if anyone had signed up yet.

Small Can Be Big
I’ve always wanted to make a fortune. One of the main reasons for this desire is so that I can help single mothers provide for their kids and give them a better life.
Yesterday while watching a Hulu video, I saw a commercial for SmallCanBeBig.org. I fell in love with the idea. The site partners with charities to select specific families in need to feature on the site and allows visitors...
New Canon EOS T1i
I got my first SLR camera this week. I’ve always wanted to be a good photographer, but never got around to investing in a decent camera.
I’ve discovered 3 things so far:
I have no idea how to use it.
I really suck so far. (Probably a function of the first one.)
I mostly take photos inside at night which means either a ton of flash or a lot of noise or blur.
I think I need an...
